You have to Move, Eat, Live and Think to MELT!
I have been working just as hard on changing my life as I have on losing weight. You don’t get to be morbidly obese because you are well adjusted and have a great life. So I’m working on changing my life in other ways than just moving, eating and thinking. I’m trying to live the best life I can (I love OPRAH!) and help create a life for my family that is rich and satisfying.
One of the things I’ve done is to begin work with an Executive Coach, Jodie Charlop. Jodie has really helped me to focus on what I wanted to do, not just what I’m good at or what pays the bills. She uses an ACTS plan: Awareness, Choices, Tenacity and Sustainability that has worked well for me. I have to give her and her practice, Potential Matters, for helping me with my Emotional Intelligence quotient – more on that later – and for helping me to grow in my professional career. It is very satisfying and feeds an emptiness in my life that I was trying to stuff with food.
